What are custom fields for?

Custom Customer Fields are used to insert additional data relevant to you internally. Any information entered here is not displayed to or editable by your customers. The data defined here is included in order notifications that are sent to you and your vendors. This feature can be used to add any additional fields of data that don't exist in the default options such as Employee ID Number or Supervisor' Name. This feature can also be used to create custom Registration forms for new users registering on your site.
